The second most widely spoken Sambalic language in Pangasinan (after Sambal), Bolinao is used in the town of the same name and Anda, an island-municipality situated at the entrance of Lingayen Gulf. The language, which has more than 50,000 speakers, has been influenced by Pangasinense, Tagalog, Spanish, and English. The residents also speak Tagalog and Ilocano, and often, English as well.
