Kadayawan sa Dabaw

Davao City, Davao del Sur
3rd week of August

Kadayawan comes from madayaw, a Mandaya word meaning “warm and friendly greeting.” The celebration features floats decorated with fresh flowers, street dancers in colorful costumes, and a parade of Davao’s different ethnic tribes in tribal garb and jewelry.
