Dinagyang Festival

Iloilo City, Iloilo
4th weekend of January

The Dinagyang Festival is a religious and cultural celebration also in honor of the Santo Niño (Child Jesus), as well as a commemoration of the arrival of Malay settlers at Panay Island. The island was subsequently sold to them by the Atis. Chants of “Hala Bira” and “Viva Señor Santo Niño” liven up the feast.
